Phase 1.9 Centralizes Website Settings

The Settings Framework brings website, SMTP, authentication, maintenance, API, performance, and logging controls into one protected dashboard.

Phase: 1 Checkpoint: 1.9 Category: Settings Published: July 16, 2026

Phase 1.9 introduced the permanent Settings Framework for the MineCave Website Builder.

What changed

Added a centralized settings dashboard instead of scattered configuration files.
Added website, email, authentication, maintenance, API, performance, and logging sections.
Added encrypted storage for SMTP passwords and API credentials.
Added settings validation, audit logging, export, import, and defaults.
Connected website mode controls to the centralized settings service.

Why it matters

Every future feature can now register and consume settings through one consistent service. This reduces configuration drift and gives staff one controlled location for website administration.
